Unfortunately, there are no national parks in the immediate vicinity of Cape Town. We usually go to the Pilanesberg National Park, located north of Johannesburg. The Kruger National Park is the largest in South Africa, but it is quite far away.
You can find game reserves from 1h away from Webersburg, which sometimes even host the big 5 (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos) animals. Here are some suggestions, but we haven't been to any of these:
