Messages of love, encouragement, support, and best wishes from people we hold dear

Thank You Message from Ogee & Mac

Our dearest Family & Friends,

Thank you so much for your overwhelming love, support and being a part of this milestone!

Amidst your very busy schedule and due dates at work, the unending chores at home, the poor wi-fi connection, the relentless brush fire in California and lockdowns in other states for some friends, the massive super typhoon in Manila for our family and friends back home, power interruptions in the east coast and other continents, and most of all, the undeniably COVID-mode state of mind that lingers in every part of the globe, you still managed to send us your silver wedding anniversary videos, messages and greetings that we love and appreciate so much.

We are truly grateful for our family and long-time friends from different parts of the world whom we have not seen for more than twenty-five years but still have made huge efforts and spared their most valuable time to be a part of this milestone.

Near of far, we are humbled by your words of kindness, thoughtfulness, inspiration, encouragement, fun stories, solemn prayers, and enriching best wishes for the two of us and our family.

Thank you for the genuine and faithful life-long friendship and carrying it on through the years. We exactly feel the same way with you all.

Know that you are all positive instruments one way or another in our triumphs in every big or small life’s battles and challenges, and for that, we are so blessed you have touched our lives.

From the bottom of our heart, our sincerest thanks to everyone who sent their endearing and heartfelt videos, letters, messages, notes, photographs and for going great lengths to be a part of one of the most memorable chapter in our married life.

This means a lot to both of us. We will never forget you.

All our love,

Ogee & Mac

Message from Mama & Papa+

One of the loveliest day for the couple happened twenty-five years ago at the Manila Cathedral…A dream wedding every bride will aspire.

As I recall –

My blushing and glowing daughter-bride, “Nini”, that’s how I call her (although everyone calls her with different names – Ging-Ging, Girlie, Ogee, Odyang, Ogita, Gerry, and of course Geraldine) walking down the aisle on her beautiful Ivory beaded gown, matched with a tiara pearl, and long train along with her amazing entourage, is a sight I will never forget. The scene brought back memories from her early childhood when she was a cute little girl to her teenage years marching along the street for the annual celebration of the “Mayflower Festival” as the Reyna Elena on her lovely gown and crown. Time flies so quickly, it is now her wedding day, making the vows for a lifetime commitment with her soulmate, Mac, a very good man she has chosen to be with for the rest of her life. For us parents, it was the most awaited event, the realization of a dream for your dearest daughter. A very solemn homily and the sacrament of matrimony was officiated by Archbishop Socrates B. Villegas.

After the church wedding, a very festive and joyful celebration was held at the grand ballroom of the Shangri-La’s Edsa Plaza Hotel with family, closest friends, mentors, and co-workers of the couple. The dinner and dance lasted until almost midnight. The father and the bride dance was very, very sentimental and heart warming. Seeing two of my most treasured people in my life - my husband and daughter, gracefully dancing the waltz was a very touching scene for a mother like me.

From then on, the new couple started a family, raising two smart and talented boys. We are happy to see how they brought up their children with so much love, respect, dedication, care, kindness, understanding. Mac as the head of the family have remained the well-mannered man we knew from the beginning – humble, hardworking, persevering, patient, understanding, a good provider, and very much focused with his family. Truly a good role model to his growing children. His love, care, and respect to us as the parents of his wife, our daughter from then til now is very, very much appreciated. Bragging aside, if I can just mention a little story of inspiration and triumph about my son-in-law that most people may not know – besides his quiet personality, man of few words, and one who has a very high regard on moral values, he is the graduating class valedictorian, consistent top of the class, university scholar (“Iskolar Ng Bayan”), and landed as a board-certified top-notcher during the national board examination for accountancy (CPA examination )in the Philippines, and finally earned an MBA at the Asian Institute of Management through Purefoods Corporation as the very first company scholar.

In the meantime, my grandsons grew fast. Like their parents, they developed their own initiative, especially in school. From grade school, to high school, to college, they are stellar students. Jose, my eldest grandson besides being a consistent honor roll, was a recipient of the National Science Merit Award Winner in the field of Physics nominated by his science professor. As for now, Jose is a board certified and a licensed mechanical engineer and works for a multinational company as a plant engineer. While my youngest grandson Lui, is a Dean's Lister and an American College Scholar with a minor in Japanese language and major in Global Supply Chain Management, now finishing his second internship at a Berkshire Hathaway group of companies in Georgia, and expected to graduate next year.

Nini, being a wife and a mother, you have shown your unlimited and untiring love, care, generosity to your family.

I pray to our dear Almighty God, The Lord Jesus, for your continued good health, happiness, peace, and bountiful blessings for your small business.

My prayers to Mac is his continued good health, happiness, to remain with the goodness of heart, wisdom, courage and strength.

And for my grandchildren Jose & Lui, more success, good health, safety and guidance now and forever.

Lastly, continue to make your home a shrine of peace, hope, love, and faith in God.

Congratulations on your Silver Wedding Anniversary!!! I am so proud of you two. You and your marriage are true inspiration to many.

Always remember that your Papa is watching us over, always.

God bless our family.

With all my heart,

Mama & Papa+

Hi Mac and Ogee,

Though we are far from you, we are thankful and honored to celebrate with you the most important part of your life being together as ONE for 25 years. This is a major milestone that all couples will set a #relationship goals. With the love still burning, respect and trust still intact, is worth celebrating for. You are a great example to all couples and may you continue to keep the love sparkling forevermore. And I am offering this prayer to you…

Dear God, we thank you for the grace and blessings you have given this couple during the past 25 years of marriage. We celebrate and recall the day when they joined together as partners in life and we thank you for being with them on their journey together through life’s ups and downs.

Increase their sense of belonging to each other, just as Jesus says, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one.” (Matthew 19:5,6 NIV) We thank you that you have freely given them your presence, strength, help and hope. We pray that they will continue to grow in their ability to work together for the good of their family and for the good of the world. Amen!

To you, Mac and Ogee, a very very HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY!!! May you receive more silver gifts than you have silver in your hair. We love you so much!!! Take care and God bless.

Love lots,

Dear Mac and Ogee,

Happy Silver Wedding Anniversary!!! Time really flies so fast. I remember being one of your secondary sponsors and my eldest, Min-Min, as your Maid of Honor. You were both beaming with happiness then as couples about to wed mostly are. After 25 years, contrary to most marriages, that joy and glow never faded because you really have nurtured your relationship as husband and wife.

I always tell my daughters that they should look for someone like Mac as a husband – one who truly loves his wife and children thereby making sure that they are provided and well taken care of. Mac is the type of man who strives so hard for his family. Having come from humble beginnings, being his younger sister, I witnessed how he has struggled so hard to be where he is now – and all in accordance with his principles of morality whether in terms of money, relationship or life per se.

Of course, it always takes two to tango. Mac could not have not done it without the love and support of his better half, Ogee. She is not just a beautiful face but the best homekeeper – one who cooks so well, beautifies the house, attends to the kids while having her own business – above all, a loving wife to Mac.

So there you go! I think Mac and Ogee can be the best marriage counselors as theirs is the epitome of a relationship that has survived ups and downs, as they say, for better or for worse. They are now reaping what they have sown, as they grow old together happily, abundantly and simply enjoying travelling together.

Again, to sweetest couple ever, HAPPY 25th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY! May you live your life to the fullest, may you have more blessings in life, may you both live lengthily, healthily, happily and prosperously. Cheers to more travels and exciting chapters of your marriage.

I LOVE YOU BOTH!!!

Message from Mac's brother, Agee Garcia

Arnold Garcia here, fondly called AG by my siblings and friends, and I am Mac's younger brother. Mac and Ogee, as you celebrate your Silver Wedding Anniversary, let me share with you my heartfelt wishes of love, prosperity and joy that never ends.

Ogee is a very lively person who can really energize family gatherings with her great thoughts, stories and ideas. She is candid and at the same time very warm, traits which I believe are most loved by us, her family and friends.

Mac maybe misconstrued by others to have a sober demeanor or someone very serious but when you get to know him more, he has great sense of humor. When it comes to life's principles he is firm and resolved and has unbending integrity.

Mac is an inspiration to me being my older brother from the time he worked his way upMac is a great ins the corporate ladder in Purefoods Corp., as one of the top executives of La - Z - Boy California and until now that he decided to explore new endeavors.

What I am now, I drew a lot of inspiration and learning from him as a person, as an executive, as a friend and more importantly, as a brother.

Mac and Ogee are made for each other. They may not be perfect, their marriage may not be perfect as there is nothing perfect in this world, but they surely achieved what many couples are longing and dreaming for, a partnership and love story made in heaven and blessed by God.

Happy 25th Anniversary Mac and Ogee and may the good Lord bless you with Golden and Diamond Wedding Anniversaries! Cheers!!!

Message from Mac's sister-in-law , Cecille Garcia

I am Cecille Garcia, the sister in law of Mac and Ogee. I've known them for almost three (3) decades now. Mac as I know him, is a serious type of person, firm and someone who values integrity so much. Ogee on the other hand is very bubbly, easy to get along with and someone who you could talk to and be with without dull moments. If there are common traits in both of them I would say they are a very kind couple, generous and they love outdoor activities.

We have a lot of very good memories together dating back at the time we were still living in Frisco Quezon City. I can still very well recall, they used to bring my daughter Marice (who was just 5 years old then) to eat outside or watch movies. The best memories I have with them is when our family first set foot in America in December 2016 where we had our Great American Road Trip, having the chance to visit the Grand Canyon, Valley of Fire, San Diego, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and San Francisco where Silicon Valley is.

I wish you all the very best in your Silver Wedding Anniversary and I hope and pray that our One True God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, would give you excellent health and very happy life as you pursue your Golden and even Diamond anniversary many years from now. God bless you and family always!

Message from Mac's niece, Cess Garcia (our Baby-Third Wheel)

Hola! Bonjour! Hello! Mabuhay!

My name is Cess and I'm a niece of Tito Mac and Tita Ogee.

I have been a witness of Tito Mac and Tita Ogee's love story for these past 25 years and I can say that I am officially their third wheel! LOL!

Back when I was still a preschooler, they'd often spoil and treat me to awesome food and road trips. Tita Ogee and I would sometimes be in matching outfits and we'd eat out on our favorite ice cream house- Ice Berg's.

In 2016, I had the chance to be on another third wheel moment with them when I visited the US. The three of us went to Las Vegas on the weekend of Thanksgiving where we watched the awesome Celine Dion and eat yummy buffets!

But besides all the fun we had that weekend, I saw how they were very much a team in their relationship. On our way back to their home in Cali, we went through a horrendous traffic that made the 4 hour trip to 10 hours. Tito Mac didn't let Tita Ogee drive that traffic, and Tita Ogee didn't sleep the whole trip. I saw how they were looking out for each other.

Twenty five years of marriage is truly a great blessing, and a great feat. But the backbone of their 25 years is a lot hard work, faithfulness and love that will surely withstand many more years to come.

Happy Anniversary and congratulations to one of my favorite couples! Wishing and praying for many more years of togetherness. God bless po!

Message from Mac's niece, Marga Vitug-Tan (MinMin)

Tito Mac and Tita Ogee are part of our family. I’m Minmin, the eldest among the Garcia cousins. Tito Mac is my mom’s older brother. They’re also both our wedding godparents. They’re one of the sweetest couples we’ve ever met. They simply complement each other.

Everybody sees Tito Mac as the serious man-of-a-few-words type, but my childhood memories of Tito Mac are quite different. He’s the Tito who always teases me, but always gives me chocolates. He always brings me to his basketball games, so I can watch him and Tito Ag play, then they would buy me chicken or ice cream after. From my mom’s stories, Tito Mac was one of the people who really took care of me as a baby. And ever since I was a kid, my mom always tells us to marry someone like Tito Mac—very responsible, hardworking, patient, and a true family man.

When I met Tita Ogee, I thought that she was this breath of fresh air that entered our family. She’s only a few years older than me, so we really jived. Her impeccable taste was already evident even when I was young. So now, whenever we go to the States for vacation, we still always go shopping together, and we stay there until the mall closes. Oh, and did I mention that she’s an awesome cook? I never not eat a lot whenever I visit them.

My favorite memory of them was this one time that I went to California alone for vacation, I stayed in their house for a few days. One morning, I went downstairs to get a cup of coffee, and I saw them laughing and cuddling on the couch. I was still single then, and I thought to myself, this is the kind of love that I want. They’re just really so good together.

Happy anniversary, Tito and Tita! Wishing you guys more happy and healthy years together! We love you!

Love,

Minmin

Hi Tito & Tita,

Got goosebumps seeing those wonderful photos! And honestly got me teary eyed seeing daddy lo and mommy la so alive in those photos of our childhood. How I wish I could bring back time to give them one more hug and tell them how much they are loved. I know you felt the same when you uploaded papa Ronnie’s photos.

Like what I’ve said in the video, it’s funny how time flies so fast. Imagine that little boy holding your wedding rings 25 years ago has his own family now and gifted with 3 not so little cute girls hehehe. Thank you for making us feel that we are really part of your 25 year journey. And we are hoping for another 25 more years of travel and food trip for you guys. You’re such an inspiration to me and Pam, we always talk about how great couple you are.

Enjoy the moment tito & tita! You guys are an awesome couple! Let’s celebrate this soon, it’s God’s perfect time.

You’re a lovable couple. Happy Silver Wedding Anniversary Wishing you more blessed years to celebrate !

I love you both ! Take care & God bless

Message from Ogee's Godmother,

Ninang Chi Leopoldo - Melbourne, Australia

Dear Girlie and Mac

It is a great honor to have this opportunity to greet you and Mac a blessed and joyous 25th Wedding Anniversary!

Silver, a highly valuable metal and stronger than gold, aptly describes the deep-rooted commitment you have towards each other. It is a great achievement for both of you facing life’s challenges for quarter of a century, balancing roles of parenthood and maintaining and respecting each other’s individuality. It is a massive task to undertake.

Aside from the privilege of suggesting your name from birth, my personal circumstances did not allow me to play the role of a typical Ninang. As you probably were in the same position as we had, it is no mean feat to settle into an adoptive country.

There's one memory that lingers though. When I asked about Ate Linda and Kuya Ronnie’s family from my dearly deceased brother, he said, “Girlie married a very nice, warm and kind hearted guy named Mac". It’s a union of two dynamic personalities that will stand the test of time.”

A testament perhaps is raising successfully your two young men, Jose and Lui.

May I cite the following verse:

“Corinthians 13: 1-13 Marriage deepens and enriches every facet of life. Happiness is fuller, memories are fresher, and commitment is stronger .... “

On behalf of the Sta Ana, Leopoldo and Vera families, our loving wishes for many many more years of wedded bliss and happiness. "The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.”

Love and God bless always,

Ninang Chi

If there is one couple that we believe is the epitome of what a marriage and family should be, it would be that of Mac and Girlie. I’m not saying this because Girlie is my relative and Mac is my daughter’s Godfather. It is based on our personal observation since we first met them in the late 90s. From the very start, they showed each other the utmost respect and they worked together as one. It is very clear that they truly treasure each other well. Their love, selflessness and commitment to each other and the way they raised their children is truly remarkable. We’ve seen them how they started building their life together here in Los Angeles. They raised their two boys well… really well and they prosper in life. We’ve seen them how they instill values to their two boys and they grew up decent, well-mannered and responsible citizens.

The most important qualities that we admire about Girlie and Mac is their devotion to their family especially to their parents. They show their love and respect by honoring and showing their gratitude not only on major milestones in life but also on a regular and seemingly ordinary day.

To one of the most ideal and favorite couple we know, Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary. We’d like you to know that both of you are dear to us and a joy to be with. May God continue to bless your marriage and your love with each other grew richer as time goes by.

We love you both !!!

Sincerely,

Ate Let and Kuya Manny

Message from Joy Tandingan

I knew Ogee because she was my college "Barkada" at Miriam (Maryknoll) College and then knew Mac through Ogee. Knowing Ogee from our college days until now did not change a bit. It even more developed. A person passionate doing excellent things from A-Z. She is a person you can depend on. A true friend ready to help. Always sees the good side of things. While I just met Mac like three times. But from that meeting, I saw a sincere person. A quiet, responsible and intelligent man. I knew Ogee 35 years now. The cutest memory I remember about Ogee is when McDonald's is just new in the Philippines, every time she passes by any McDonald's she will always do the sign of the cross.

The fondest memory is when we go home together since we both live in Marikina City. Sabay kaming maghintay at sumakay ng jeep. Everytime we have gimmicks, she will go with us ni Bom and we will bring her home.

Ogee & Mac, truly, God has united a wonderful couple. What a milestone you both has achieved. Not all couples reach 25 years of being together. We are so happy on your momentous milestone. A loving and responsible couple who has raised two adorable children. There will be more challenges ahead but we know you two will be able to overcome it with God's guidance.

Congratulations again to the both of you and many more milestones together. Till your 50th year!

Message from Bom Tandingan

Ogee is a friend. I have known her through my wife Joy who is a college friend. The times I have been with both of them, I immediately connected. Easy to love them as they are very friendly and down to earth in spite of the successes they have in life. They are a keeper.

I used to be their designated driver during college times. I drove Joy and her friends for their school activities. I enjoyed doing this for them.

Ogee & Mac, I believe that you are already blessed of what you have now. I pray that God will continue to grant you peace, happiness, and good health throughout your lives.

Happy 25th Anniversary, love you both!

Message from Ogee's long time friend since college, Jo Anne Mina - Orange County, California

I met Ogee in college. We were classmates at Miriam College (formerly Maryknoll College) from first year up to our fourth year. We had the same major then. We lost contact after graduation then we finally got reconnected after 25 years or so when we found each other on Facebook. And eventually reunited with our other college classmates as well.

Ogee is a very funny gal. There is no dull moment when you're with her. She's also very nice, very thoughtful and if she really likes and put her trust in you, she'll keep you in her circle of friends forever. I love talking to her over the phone because we never ran out of topics to talk about. From our respective families, to our friends and classmates, work, to our love for cooking/baking, beauty, etc. It's always a treat every time we talk. I also love how she takes care of her family and how proud she is of all of them.

I don't have my fondest memory with Ogee because i consider all of our bonding moments together, special! I enjoy her company very well.

Wedding Wishes for Mac and Ogee

Congratulations and best wishes for both of you on this joyous occasion of your Silver Wedding Anniversary. May this occasion be the start of another milestone in your lives made of love and trust. The bond that you two have is so remarkable and very inspiring to many. You two proved that even if life's not perfect, having a loving partner in life makes every trouble worthy. Keep loving each other and cherish every special moment you share every single day, until forever!

Happy 25th wedding anniversary Mac and Ogee!!!

Always,

Jo Anne Mina

To have experienced this wondrous spirit as her college professor is a gift I will always treasure. Although Ogee was a playful student, her impassioned nature earned high marks in my classes which I gave sparingly during her time.

Balancing fun with a sense of responsibility , I knew Ogee would climb the corporate ladder in Purefoods, Inc. favorably way after graduation. It was in this workplace that she met Mac, and love bloomed for this dedicated couple. The following years were kind to them, living in the USA and raising good children—Jose and Lui.

Our warm connection grew despite the distance, thanks to social media. Ogee’s intrinsic belief in family ties is reflected in the way she cares unconditionally for her parents, friends, husband, and kids. Her commitment to quality time with Mac continues to enhance her already fascinating life.

When Ogee’s father passed on, we were able to share a precious afternoon relishing each other’s company in Manila. The natural warmth and affection which endeared me to her in college flourished, more than I could ever imagine.

It is no wonder Ogee is still happily married for 25 years. It is a living testament of her choice to love deeply, with Mac giving the same to the relationship.

On this special occasion, may both of you celebrate many adventures and joy still to come!

Happy silver anniversary, dear Ogee and Mac!

Hello I am Ate Nenek to Ogee, her cousin from the Camba side of the family. My Daddy Memong is Tito Ronnie’s only living brother at 83.

I have known Ogee since birth 😊 I call her Girlie back then. Aside from being strikingly beautiful and awesome even at a young age, I’ve always known her to be bubbly, kind , loving and generous (traits most likely she got from both her parents). Our family used to visit their home in Marikina when we were young , she was very accommodating and always happy to welcome us. She talked spontaneously about friends, school and shared her things and toys with us and even voluntarily gave us some to take home.

More than anything else, I am grateful to Ogee and her family for the love and generosity they extend not only to my Daddy Memong but my family as well. My daughter adores and look up to her. Whenever someone notice my Dad’s branded things , he will proudly say, “a gift from my pamangkin abroad”. At his age, he is at his happiest everytime he receives gifts especially from loved ones. It made him feel so loved and valued. For that, I am forever grateful to Ogee, Mac and family.

Congratulations on your silver wedding anniversary Mac & Ogee !!! You both are very blessed. Continue to enjoy God’s grace. Keep creating beautiful, wonderful, precious memories together ! More joy, more love, more happiness for the both of you and the whole family. Take care and I love you both! God bless.

I have known Ogee or Odjang as we fondly call her, way back 1992 during Purefoods days. She was the first person who approached me on my first day. I knew from then on that we would click as friends.

Odyang is a true definition of a "Friend". She is always there when you need her most. Though we seldom get in touch lately, but when we do, parang araw -araw lang ang communication namin. It's because we feel each other's presence.

Odyang is super caring and has this infectious personality that you forget your problems when she is around for every moment I had with her and the group is worth keeping it. Those days with her and the group I consider one of the happiest days of my life.

Odyang, you are blessed with a good husband, wonderful kids and an almost perfect family that everyone has dreamt of.

I am grateful that I have known you and we become friends.

You are blessed with a big heart.

Biro mo yan, 25 years na pala kayo? Parang kelan lang nung nalaman namin na kayo palang dalawa! It was really a surprise then in the entire Franchise office. We knew that “this is it” for Mac but for Ogee, being young and lakwatsera pa, it’s a question mark. But hey, look at her now! Ogee was able to create a beautiful home for her family and is complimented by Mac’s foundation of love and tenacity. Then and now, I am witness of their love and devotion for each other and for their sons. What you can see in FB posts are proof of this!

My memorable encounter with Mac and Ogee was in Buena Park in 2009. They took time and drove miles and miles away to meet us and have a chit chat with us, her former workmates. We had fun and memories kept coming back to me.

One of the things in my bucket list is to visit their wonderful place and physically feel the love and happiness abounding its entirety and of course savour the trademark dishes that Ogee prepares.

Happy 25th Mac and Ogee! Looking forward to your 50th! Cheers! We love you!

Hi Ogee,

I’m a sucker for a good love story, so while I remember vividly how much Mac ‘melted’ into you every time he passed your office table, the chemistry bet you is absolutely unmistakable. Your personalities just met. Mac had his exclusive sight on you in a room full of the most beautiful Field Supervisors (including me, of course🤣)! Hilariously, even before i felt confirmed that there’s something special in the air between you two, there goes the office chika that you two indeed hit off! Then easy local dates pointed things just got so much better. Clearly, the universe thought that you should be together... !

With you both being happy after all these years, there’s nothing more beautiful to behold than a wonderful union between two beautiful people...Happy anniversary Mac and Ogee!

I met Mac and Ogee separately at my first job in Purefoods Corporation in Marikina. We all worked at the Franchise Division of Purefoods. I remember them both as very diligent and hardworking, so it is not a surprise that they are what I consider successful, both in the professional and personal aspects. They have built a beautiful home and, more importantly, I see that they have raised a family with love and support so that those they have raised will do the same for others and their future families.

Happy 25th Anniversary, Mac and Ogee. Continue to aspire and inspire!
