2012: Gerlyn is introduced to Mikey by his sister Alexis, and Mikey says hello and uses volleyball as an excuse to leave

2013: Gerlyn and Mikey meet again at a mutual friend's debut and she teaches him how to Cha-Cha.

2014: Mikey and Gerlyn both try to take paths that they'd know would lead to them potentially running into each other so they get could walk together to their next classes.

Winter 2014: Mikey starts coaching girls volleyball and Gerlyn happens to be the designated sports medicine student. They begin getting to know each other more and becoming better friends.

Spring/Summer 2015: They go to senior ball together as friends and leave with wondering if they could be more. They later go on their first date and start trying to figure out how this relationship is going to work.

Fall 2015: Mikey starts college and Gerlyn starts her senior year. They continue to work on their relationship and get more serious about where they're trying to go as partners.

2016-2017: Gerlyn graduates from high school and they begin their long distance relationship as Gerlyn goes on to GPA and Mikey continues classes at DVC.

2018: Gerlyn comes back from her second year of GPA and Mikey finishes his Associates from DVC. They start trying to involve their families in the relationship and Gerlyn meets Mikey's family

2019-2021: Gerlyn continues to pursue her education to becoming a nurse and Mikey graduates from nursing school and business school. They continue to strengthen their relationship as they prepare for their future.

2022: After buying the engagement ring in January, Mikey proposes to Gerlyn in December after she took too long to propose to him herself.
