Can I bring my children, or a date?
We are naming each guest on the invitation. All children and "+1" guests will be named on the invitation, if applicable.
What is "Sunday best/semi-formal" attire?
We request that our guests wear clothes that are both comfortable and appropriate for a church setting. Generally, this means suits and ties for men, and dresses/separates (knee length and below) for ladies, with shoulders covered.
You may see some guests wearing a veil/mantilla during the mass, which is a tradition that is not required but encouraged. Head scarfs or hats are also encouraged.
At the end of the day, we will be overjoyed to have you attend, looking and feeling your best!
Where should I sit for the ceremony?
The front 2 rows will be reserved for the bridal party and immediate family. There is handicap-accessible seating in the front left side of the church. If you expect to have noisy children or need to step out frequently, please consider sitting towards the back for easy access.
Bathrooms are located downstairs in the church hall. A handicap-accessible elevator is available if needed.
When can I take photos/video?
We ask that guests refrain from taking photos/video during the mass - we will have photographers present to capture the entire day. If you'd like to take photos with the bride and groom, please join us after the mass and before the reception.
We will also have a photo booth at the reception for more fun :)
I have never been to a Latin Mass before, what should I expect?
This is a catholic liturgy marked by the use of Latin, sung prayers, incense and certain times to stand, kneel or sit.
We will provide pamphlets to follow along the translation and when to stand, sit or kneel.
If you get lost - that is OK! This is a devotional service that encourages personal prayer. Please consider saying a prayer for us, and for your personal intentions. Thank you!
Am I going to receive communion at mass?
Anyone who is a Catholic and would like to receive communion is invited to partake by going up to the altar and kneeling to receive communion on the tongue.
If you cannot kneel and would like to receive, please sit in the handicap accessible pews to have the priest give you communion directly.
