It was a seemingly ordinary Tuesday night at Barbes in Hoboken, NJ, but fate had other plans. She was on a work call, balancing the demands of her career at Morgan Stanley while pursuing her master’s degree at NYU. The hour was late, approaching 9 pm, but work never followed the traditional schedule for her. Across the room, Michael sat at the bar, unaware that his life was about to change forever.&nbsp; In a spontaneous gesture, he sent her a glass of wine. Curious, she looked up, scanning the room. Their eyes met, and in that brief moment, something undeniable sparked between them. It was the beginning of a story neither could have predicted, a moment that would lead to everything that followed. Not long after they met, life took an unexpected turn. Both were laid off — she from Morgan Stanley and Michael from Ernst &amp; Young. Instead of letting the uncertainty weigh them down, they chose to embrace the unknown. Together, they bought one-way tickets to Europe, trading security for spontaneity and a summer of adventure.&nbsp; Their journey took them across the continent — from the sun-drenched shores of Portugal to the vibrant cities of Spain, the romantic streets of Paris, the ancient beauty of Greece, the charm of Italy, and the majestic landscapes of Switzerland. They eventually made Rome their home for a month while she studied an architecture course at the Institute of European Design. In the heart of the eternal city, their love deepened, as timeless as the place itself. Returning to the U.S., they decided to take the next step and move in together. With new dream jobs and a shared sense of adventure, they have been inseparable ever since. When they aren’t engrossed in existential conversations, they can be found singing at piano bars, wandering the scenic streets of Hoboken, or planning their next journey.&nbsp; On August 31, 2024, on the picturesque sands of Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara, California, Michael asked her to spend forever with him. They can’t wait to begin the next chapter of their lives together, knowing the best is yet to come.
