Gideon and Rylee met in their first year of Bible College in 2021. They wouldn't realize it until years later, but it was the Lord's providence that they were assigned seats right next to each other in their first-year classroom.

Gideon and Rylee didn't become friends until the second half of their second year at Millar, but when they did, there was no going back! Coincidentally, they worked the exact same position as each other at camp that summer! Almost as if it was meant to be, that September they started dating, exactly two years to the day from when they first met at Millar!

This time of dating was as affirming as it was filled with a lot of driving. Whether it was from Sunnybrae or Vernon all the way to Salmon Arm, the drive never stopped them from spending time together.

After about a year and a half of dating, the proposal was near. And yet, sickness struck and their plans were thwarted. Nevertheless, Gideon pivoted and he proposed down by the river in his hometown. Though cold, it was very beautiful! There has never been a better Christmas holiday for these two!!
