It’s funny how life works—sometimes, when you stop searching, the best things find you. Gilbert and I actually went to the same high school. I still remember him and his Mustang, but we weren’t friends back then. Almost six years ago, fate brought us back together at a mutual friend’s house, and we reconnected on Facebook soon after.

Our first date still makes me smile. We went to the cutest little restaurant in the Orange Circle, and from then on, we started talking every day and spending more time together. Over the years, we’ve shared so many beautiful moments. I often tell him how he saved my heart, and I truly believe we were meant to cross paths. We’ve become exactly what we needed in each other’s lives.

We’ve shared so many “firsts” together, but one memory stands out above the rest. About a year and a half ago, we took an unforgettable trip to Hawaii. While we were in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by breathtaking views, something amazing happened—he proposed! It was the most magical moment, and I’ll cherish it forever.
