Adam and Gillian first met in the summer of 2016 through mutual friends from NC State. As any good relationship story goes, Adam thought he lost any chance with her after asking Gillian the most random question for their first words to each other. “Do your parents have a washer and dryer we can buy for our house?” Adam asked. To which Gillian sweetly replied, “uhh no…” but as time went on they saw more and more of each other and became good friends through the fall of 2016 and spring of 2017. When school dismissed for the summer, Gillian and Adam remained in Raleigh where they spent a lot of time together going out for meals, playing with their dog Dixie and growing closer as friends. On July 4th 2017, Adam called Gillian his girlfriend for the first time in front of a group of their friends. In hindsight he probably should have asked her first but as anyone who knows, once Adam gets an idea in his head he runs with it at full speed. Their relationship would continue to grow and flourish over the next four years and on March 20th, in front of the Raleigh Performing Arts Center where Gillian captured audiences with her amazing ballet talent, Adam proposed to Gillian.
