Sam and Gillian's story began in the summer of 2016, with the internet bridging the 700 miles between Georgia and Illinois. They spent countless hours talking and laughing—watching TV and playing video games online (truly, a Gen Z love story for the ages). Their bond was effortlessly magnetic, and on October 11th their relationship became official.

A year after meeting online, Sam flew south to meet Gillian in person for the first time. As soon as they laid eyes on each other, anxieties about the other being a serial killer—or worse, just not that into the other—melted away, as their connection was just as strong offline.

Their love deepened among the majestic oak trees draped in Spanish moss, centuries-old cobblestone paths, and the soft, sandy beaches of their university days in Savannah, Georgia. They now live in Gillian's hometown of Senoia, GA. On February 14, 2024, among the ducks and waterlilies of the local park, Sam proposed, beginning an exciting new chapter in their shared journey.
