Our Wedding

Our story starts in Stanley High School in September 2006. In a strange twist of fate we were both placed in Holmes 7 form room together. We spent every morning and afternoon registration sat next to each other and after a matter of weeks this cute curly hair boy became one of my closest friends. I cant cope with this picture!

How We Met

Our friendship blossomed over the years, going to gigs, hanging out at house parties and even riding to prom together.

The first Oliefest began in Formby Pinewoods for Olie's 21st Birthday. What began as a small gathering of misfits in the woods quickly became a yearly tradition to catch up and cause trouble with this lovely lot! After moving to London it became one of the rare occasions I got to spend time with Oliver and I quickly realised how much I missed him.

And the madness and mischief continues to grow every year!

We started dating in August 2018. Olie travelled to London almost every other weekend for a year to stay with me. Long distance was tough! But we made so many amazing memories during this first year and had countless teary goodbyes at Waterloo station.

Dating 

In 2019 my beautiful mum passed away, It was devastating news for us all. Oliver was my rock during this period and his strength and kindness helped me to navigate through the worst of times. I know she would have loved him to pieces.

In early 2020 we lost Oliver's dad Reg. He was the kindest most loving Dad and husband, I see so much of him in Oliver every day. I was lucky enough to share some wonderful memories and a holiday with Sandra, Reg and Oliver before he passed. Our trip to High Winder in Pooley Bridge is one of my fondest memories and I'm so grateful for Sandra and Reg to have invited me into their family with open arms.

Reg 2020

In 2020 we brought home our noisy little herb! We never imagined such a little dog would make such a huge impact on our lives. Basil is our whole world and we couldn't imagine life without him! (woofs and all)

Music has always been something that has brought us closer together and we've been lucky enough to share some amazing gigs together over the years. Highlights include our first gig together (Blink 182) back in 2010, Elton and Paul at Glastonbury (!!!) Seeing Hozier in a church, having our hearts completely shattered by Laura Marling and seeing our faves The Staves almost every year we've been together. Each one has been a special memory we will never forget!

Music and Gigs

On April the 2nd 2023, Oliver popped the question! It was the most romantic proposal, under the stars in Grasmere. Oliver took me to a wishing-well we had visited on our first trip away together 5 years earlier. He told me that when we threw a coin into the well all those years ago, he wished that he would come back here one day to make me his wife. How could you say no to that!
