Gina and John met at the Christmas Cantata that John was singing in at Beulah Baptist Church in 2022. I was sitting with Mandi (friend) talking about how great the Cantata sounded when John came and sit next to me. We didn't really say much to each other but continued conversations with friends. Later, Mandi said, "you should go on a date with John", and I replied back, "yeah, I don't know, not now".

It was not until early 2023 we began to talk some, and later John asked if I wanted to go out sometime. Instead of going out, he came over one day after church and we road side by sides. He was in shock at how muddy he got and I didn't think he would want to see me again after that. However, we continued to talk, and then became "official" May 15th, 2023.

After we started dating, we had our first vacation together at Oak Island for my birthday. He then began to enjoy hunting with me that Fall. More vacations came, then he fell in love with a dachshund puppy I showed him, and convinced me to get it, (really it was just because how much it made him smile). A year later and two dog litters later we now have a fourth dachshund and a second Aussie.

On May 28th 2025 we were in Montana and was driving the bear-tooth pass. When we got all the way to the top, he had me walking around this mountain to "take a picture" and then down on one knee he went and asked me to Marry him. Two weeks later the planning had started which leads you to this page today. We are so excited to start our life together and cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
