Raised in Minneapolis, Ginny lived in Europe for several years before moving to Chicago for graduate school. Her love for the city and people led her to call this city home for 10 years! Ginny’s passion for giving back is demonstrated in her career in accounting at RMI, a nonprofit dedicated to sustainability and the environment in the United States and beyond.
Ginny and Jourdan met in August 2021 through Hinge, a dating app. Their first date was in late September at the Lincoln Park Wine Fest—it was 6 hours long! As they dated, they discovered their shared love, vision, and values for Chicago, giving back, learning, and reading. Their love and appreciation for each other grew, and after two years together, they moved into their home in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood.
On November 8th, a beautiful fall day, Ginny and Jourdan got engaged under the Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk pavilion. Ginny was surprised and delighted; Jourdan was nervous but then relieved, and both were grateful and beloved.
They are excited about their wedding and the journey, building a future rooted in love, faith, and community. They look forward to seeing you at the celebration of their love in September 2025!
