We have absolutely no expectations for gifts - we are already grateful that so many of you are travelling to come and celebrate with us!

However, as we have had a few requests, and as tradition dictates, the most useful thing for us would be... an IKEA voucher (euro or GBP)! As some of you know, in an unexpected turn of events, we're in the process of buying a house, because all big legally binding decisions must be taken together.

We are not threatened by the dreaded flatpacks, the showroom mazes and the endless choices (Simon disputes this), and we can't wait to have an excellent sofa bed for you to sleep on when you come to visit us in London!

We would be very grateful for anything, but your presence is what matters most!
