Please check your passport! Passports must be valid for six months beyond your entry date. Your passport must have enough space for entry and exit stamps. Turkey does not require a visa for US Citizens.

There are many direct flights with Turkish Airlines flying from most major US cities to Istanbul Airport. Istanbul Airport is about an hour away from the European side of the city, which is where our wedding venue and suggested hotels are located. On your return flight home, we suggest arriving to the airport 3.5 hours ahead of your scheduled flight time to accomodate for traffic and checking in.

Additionally, if you plan to stopover in another country while in Turkey, you can take advantage of Turkish Airlines Stopover program, which includes a few nights stay for free at a hotel near the airport. Uber is available throughout Istanbul, and is the best form of transportation. As a result of regulations, Uber will only call Taxis and not private cars (a little different than in the US!). It is a good option for transport to and from the Istanbul Airport, which is roughly an hour away from the wedding venue and the hotels we suggest you stay at. However, a variety of transportation methods from the airport also include metro, bus, taxi, and hired cars. Read more here.
