Kyle and Gladys first met through Kyle’s mom, Heidi. Through persistence, Heidi set them up on a date. After Heidi showed Gladys a picture of Kyle, Heidi kept asking if he was her type. Gladys replied that she needed to see how he is in person and how he treats her. He drove from California to Arizona for Thanksgiving in 2022. By the time Kyle and Gladys finally met, they had already been texting for over a month, exchanging long messages that left Gladys wondering if their conversations in person would be just as engaging.


 On the day they first met, their initial one hour date turned into talking over five hours at a nearby park. They clicked immediately and became inseparable. The next week, Gladys invited him to her early birthday celebration, and he made sure to show up. Not only was he the first to arrive, but he was also the last to leave. The following weekend, he surprised Gladys by coming back for her actual birthday, this time with flowers. When he arrived he asked, “¿Quieres ser mi novia?” and, surprised, Gladys responded, “WHAT?!” But then of course said yes.


Everything between them flowed naturally. Kyle would visit her almost every weekend, and three months after they met, he gave her a promise ring. Their love kept growing, and soon enough, he moved to Arizona. Although they spent six months living in different states, it never felt like a long-distance relationship to them. It always felt like they were near each other. 


Since the day they met, they've loved and respected each other deeply. they understand one another and share the same values, which is how they complement each other so well. They are a naturally introverted couple who love staying in and enjoy each other's company. For this, and so many other reasons, are meant to be together—they truly are each other's other half and they are excited to see what the future holds. They can’t wait to celebrate their wedding day with all the people they love most.
