Goedele and Dan's love story began five years ago. Despite both attending TCNJ—a small college in New Jersey—their paths never crossed. A few years later, while enjoying separate nights out in New York City, their friends—who already knew each other—decided to hit up a karaoke bar in Koreatown.
As soon as their eyes met, they both felt an instant connection. The night started with some badly sung karaoke songs and ended up in McDonalds at 3am since neither of them wanted the night to end. At the end of the night Dan got the courage to ask Goedele for her number.
Unfortunately Goedele's 3am brain gave Dan the wrong number. Luckily for them both, Dan was able to contact Goedele via Instagram and this is how their story began.
Just a couple of days later, they went on their first date, and it quickly became clear that they had met their "person.” Their connection was instant and profound. After just six months of dating, when COVID hit, they found themselves unexpectedly living together in a cozy Brooklyn apartment with their dog, Lima.
As you know, quarantine was a make-it-or-break-it for many couples. Spending months together in a small New York room, they quickly became best friends and inseparable. Those early days turned uncertainty into a foundation of love and laughter, strengthening their bond in ways they never imagined. Now, as they prepare to say “I do,” they're excited to continue this beautiful adventure together, hand in hand, with Lima by their side.
