Travel

The sun beats down on the grasslands as you look out over the plains, and for a second, you swear you feel the heat of the Kenyan savanna. Explore natural habitats and get up close and personal with more than 400 species of animals—from African elephants to zebras—at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
Take off on a global adventure as you take a walk on the wild side at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The park is divided into regions, boasting ecosystems that simulate these real-world habitats of more than 3,200 animals. Get a look at the rhinos bathing in their oasis, lions snoozing in the sun, and meerkats diligently keeping watch over their burrows.
Zoom through the plains on the Africa Tram Safari, see just how fast a cheetah can run, and then make some friends and memories alike to the song of the birds as they perch on your hand at Lorikeet Landing. Be sure to catch the keeper talks and shows that take place throughout the day to learn more about fascinating Sumatran tigers, walk among adorable lemurs sunbathing and climbing around, and interact with the park's inquisitive animal ambassadors.
