Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, he is surprisingly pale. From a young age he understood the importance of a good diet, feasting on billtong, chewing on lamb bone and drinking cold tea and coffee from his sippy cup. At the age of 3 he moved to Plymouth and spent his childhood skating and surfing. After breaking too many bones he moved to weight training and gaming which he still obsesses over today. In 2010 he moved to Cardiff (much against his English pride) to start Biomedicine and Sports Nutrition at UWIC. Little did he know he would find a girl way out of his league....

Born in Portsmouth, she grew up in the Hambledon countryside spending her childhood trespassing in fields and getting chased by farm animals. In her teenage years the struggle of being at an all girls school, having no phone signal or public transport got the better of her so she became a dramatic and mischievous madam. Most weekends consisted of underage drinking and getting into trouble, resulting in being frequently grounded. In her late teens a miracle happened where she swatted up at school, got into the gym and was still able to fit in a weekend drinking session without involving the police. In 2009 she moved to Cardiff to start Mechanical Engineering at Cardiff University. Little did she know she would find a man who would tolerate her stupidity and nagging.

Whilst studying at University they both took part time jobs at Asda, Cardiff. Beau had heard about the Checkout Queen, Grace, but had never met her. Whilst running the Customer Service Desk, Grace had spotted a BWS colleague with a wide back and boulder shoulders. A mutual friend knew they were both single and suggested they get to know each other. The first conversation was in the wine aisle...that was the first warning sign she loved to drink but Beau was already too drawn in by her blue eyes, blonde hair and great bum

Beau had known for years he wanted to marry Grace but hadn't the slightest clue on rings. About 3 months before the proposal Grace started showing Beau what rings she would allow him to buy 'just in case' he proposed (no pressure). Whilst at the office, pretending to get on with his job, he spent most of his days researching the right ring and learning the 4 Cs. Still keeping it a secret at home, he would browse rings whilst Grace was in the shower and became a master at clearing his browsing history.

When he finally found THE ring he decided he would propose on her 27th birthday. Beau took Grace on a surprise weekend away to Watergate Bay, Newquay, where they both had special childhood memories. Whilst walking on the beach in the snow, Beau nervously dropped down on one knee asking Grace a question he may later regret in life.

Excited and a little tipsy after the champagne they started Skype calling their families, only to have no one answer their phones.
