Devin and I’s relationship is truly only the work of God. Not often do you see two nineteen year old kids meet one month before the end of freshman year of college, start dating two weeks before summer break, and go through 6 hours of long distance for 3 months while barely knowing each other. The first night that Devin and I hung out, we stayed up until 4 am talking about our lives; our goals, our dreams, our faith, everything. From that night on, I genuinely felt that something about Devin was different. I had never felt that kind of peace and confidence in a relationship before, like it was just going to work. That first summer of long distance was not easy, especially for two people working completely opposite schedules and not knowing much about each other going into it. But we just felt that the relationship was right and that it was going to work out. When we returned to Wartburg for sophomore year, we became inseparable (and if you know us today, we still are - seriously). Devin and I are genuinely each other’s best friends. I can’t imagine getting to spend my life with anyone else. Our freshman selves would have never guessed that we would be where we are today. We truly got to grow into adults together, and got to decide what kind of lives we want to live together. We are so grateful and aware of what God has done for us and how he has worked in our relationship to give us the best lives together. We are both SO excited to celebrate with you all who have supported us and our relationship over the past 3 1/2 years. LET'S GET MARRIED!!
