We have been best friends since high school, having bonded over marching band and our faith in Christ. We relied on each other for help with anything that life threw at us. When the world was shut down in the wake of the pandemic, our worlds started to collide. Study sessions at Panera and surprise visits at work kept us in high spirits during this time of isolation. As we went separate ways for Brian's first year of college in California, we remained in contact by calling each other monthly like any other friends would. Little did we know that this would soon change. Approaching the summer, we made plans to go on a group vacation in Long Beach. This week was the impetus for our relationship to come, affirming that our bond was indeed lifelong. Sparks flew as we both almost instantly knew we were meant for each other. Texts over break turned into calls and a lot of "I miss you"s until Brian decided to move back to Ohio for nursing school. Our fire was rekindled since his return home, and we have never been separated since.
