A potted plant, an inebriated waiter, and 4 hours of competitive board games marked the beginning of their journey.


In August of 2021, Dallas and Grace met for their first date at Chatterbox Pub. Unsure of what to expect, but prepared to make the best of the night, they both left knowing for certain that they would have to see each other again, and that is just what they did.


They may have lived on opposite ends of the Twin Cities, but they spent nearly every weekend together. Dallas met most of Graces friends that year, at her annual pumpkin carving party. Grace met most of Dallas friends during a UFC pay per view fight. With Blessings from both circles, their relationship began to take off.


She taught him the peace and quiet of camping, and he showed her the variety of bizarre and catchy music available. She tried to show him how to line dance, (he never did learn) and he showed her why he is the fastest Mario Kart racer this side of the Mississippi. Their friendly competitions and surprise dance sessions kept them both on their toes.


Though slow going at the request of Grace, things moved exactly as they were intended to. Ringing in the new year of 2022, they shared their first kiss. April 1st, 2023 Dallas moved in with Grace. Together they learned that love really is patient and kind. It seemed that every passing day after they met at chatterbox pub, their love grew.

On October 28th of 2023, at the annual pumpkin carving party surrounded by friends and family, Dallas proposed. To his great and shaky relief, she said yes.
