It's Free! This is one of our favorite things to do on a beautiful day in Louisville. Walk (or rent a bike!) and venture 1.5 miles towards Jefforsonville, Indiana, which has a cute little town of shops and restaurants. Stop by for some fro-yo at The Pearl at the end of bridge on the Indiana side! Or have a beer and play cornhole at the Parlour Pizza.

One of our favorite distillery visits - Bulleit is a nationally known Kentucky Bourbon sold throughout the World! And while you are in the great Bluegrass state, take the opportunity to visit this incredible distillery tour!

Also within driving distance you can find some of your own favorite bourbon distilleries - Makers Mark, Heaven Hill, Woodford Reserve, Four Roses, Jim Beam and more!

Home to the Kentucky Derby - one of the biggest sporting events in the World - Churchill Downs boasts of a long history of horses, jockeys and outrageous outfits among its attendants!

Although this event is hosted in May, feel free to swing by and check out the grounds from the Paddock to the Racetrack and the gift shop offering apparel of all sorts! Whether you're a Northern yank or from the South all are welcome to come and learn of this sites rich history all while enjoying the famous Mint Julep! May the Horse be with You!

Located in the heart of downtown Louisville is the Slugger Museum and Factory! If you have played baseball at any level - you almost guaranteed to have heard of Louisville Slugger - if not having used one of their bats yourself!

Plan out some time to visit this museum which offers a review on its long history followed by a trip to the factory where they start with a "block" of wood and machine it all the way down to a custom baseball bat! Batter Up!
