In 2019, Caleb and Grace met for the very first time on a mission trip to Beijing, China. They were both there with their separate high schools, spending a week as camp teachers. Between leading activities, eating meals together, and chatting during meetings, they got to know each other a little bit. In that short amount of time, 16-year-old Grace developed a huge crush on 17-year-old Caleb. (He had no idea, of course!). When the trip ended, they said goodbye and went their separate ways—thinking they would never see each other again. For the next five years, they lived their own lives in different states at different colleges forgetting all about each other. Until one night in 2025, Grace and Caleb ran into each other at Saturday church. One look, one conversation, and it was like no time had passed. From that night on, everything just seemed to fall perfectly into place.
