How Many People Know the True Story?

Let's start at the beginning - around 2017 or 2018 maybe? Lane and Grace had a mutual friend. This friend REALLY wanted to be with Lane. Our mutual friend posted lots on social media and that's how Lane found Grace. Lane asked said friend for Graces' social media info and the friend gladly handed it over thinking they were getting close. Unfortunately for the friend but fortunately for Grace, Lane stopped talking to the mutual friend. About a month or so later Grace and the friend's friendship fizzled out as they do in the teen years. Now things are going to get interesting from here!

Lane was messaging Grace frequently and trying to get to know her. However, Grace has NO interest at this point and was pretty clueless of Lanes true feelings. Grace ended up blocking Lane for about 1 year in a bout of teenage spontaneity. Who saw this coming? Surely NOT Lane!

This brings us to March of 2019. Grace goes through her list of blocked friends and realizes she had no reason to really block Lane in the first place. She adds him back and they don't talk for about a month or so. Lane finally slides up on a story Graces posts on Snapchat and they start messaging again. This are slow, at least on Grace's end. They eventually exchange phone numbers and they talk daily. Sometime in the late summer/early fall of 2019 Grace starts to realize Lane has feelings for her. Grace is insistent she doesn't want a relationship at the time but Lane won't give up.

Well 2020 rolls around and the daily talking/messaging has increased. Grace is catching feelings but isn't sharing this information with anyone other than Lane, barely. Feb. 2020 Grace turns 16 and Lane has the bright idea he wants to crash the party. Grace puts a stop to that idea quickly. Mar. 2020 the world shuts down and we have nothing better to do than work all day and talk all night.

We get through spring of 2020 still being good friends. Grace has met Kole and Carter over the phone. Summer starts and our schedules get crazy. We still find time to talk on the phone every day. Finally one night we talked about relationships and whether we should go for it or not. On June 23, 2020 we decided to make it official. We are officially dating. But the drama doesn't end here!

Lane shared with his family almost immediately. Grace was much more reluctant to share. Lane's family knew for almost a whole month before Grace shared with her family. She shared after Grace and Lane decided they wanted to hang out with each other. Lane drove out to Grace's and met her family. A couple weeks later Grace went to Lane's and hung out with his family.

In Aug. 2020 Grace passed her drivers test and started making trips by herself to Lane's on free weekends. After 1 year we started staying at each other's place. We watched each other graduate high school. Lane was Grace's rock through nursing school and starting a new career. We've been there for each other through family deaths, weddings, job changes and everything in between. After being together for 4.5 years we got our own apartment.

June 23, 2025 the day came. Grace slept all day becuas she has work that night. Lane was sick to his stomach so he took the day off work and stayed home quarantining from Grace. Little did Grace know he was sick to his stomach for a completely different reason than the stomach bug. Grace got up early and they went to the place we had our first date. Lane said we had friends meeting up with us but we started our round of mini golf anyway. One of our frineds showed up and we kept playing. Next thing Grace knows she turns around and Lane is down on one knee with a ring in his hand. The excitment made it incredibly hard to go to work that night and not share with everyone.

And starting June 19, 2027 we become one family and will continue taking on the world together. Thank you for coming to celebrate with us!

We ask that you steer away from white and off-white as that is reserved for the bride.Some casual clothes that fit the dress code include nice blue jeans, polo shirts or button ups, sun dresses, blouses, etc. If you aren't sure don't be afraid to ask!The wedding party will be wearing navy blue and copper/rust!
