Sometimes the most beautiful love stories begin in the most unexpected ways. Even though we grew up in the same hometown, it wasn’t until a mutual friend introduced us—while Austin was stationed in Twentynine Palms, California—that our paths truly aligned. Little did their friend know, Austin had actually been friends with Grace’s brother back in elementary school. It felt like God had been quietly working behind the scenes all along.

From that first conversation, something just felt right. Over the next three years, we faced the challenges of long-distance and long deployments—countless goodbyes, time zones, and all the in-between moments. But through it all, our love never wavered. If anything, the distance only deepened our connection and made us even more sure of what we had.
