Q + A

What time do the guests need to arrive?

The ceremony starts at 1:00 PM so all guests need to be there 30 minutes to an hour early for parking and boarding. They will allow guests to begin boarding the yacht at 12:30. The boat waits for no one! As for the after party, we hope to arrive around 5 with the cruise ending at 4. You can arrive before, after, or on that time for the after party!

Is everyone who attended the wedding able to attend the party afterwards?

No. Turnaround Club is a 21+ only establishment. All minors will have to be taken home or have rides arranged for them. Minors will not be able to attend the after party.

Are Children Welcome?

While we wish we could invite all kiddos, we are trying to keep the children attendance just to direct family due to limited guest availability. Because the wedding will be on a yacht, even newborn babies are to be considered in the guest count per the Coast Guard. While children are allowed on the boat for the ceremony, no children are able to attend the after party at Just Two More. Just Two is a 21 and up only establishment.

Are dogs allowed?

No. We wish! Only service animals are allowed to board the boat, but we do ask that you please leave your fur babies at home! Animals are also not welcome in Just Two More.

What is the attire?

Attire is Semi-Formal/Dressy Casual. Cocktail attire is also welcomed. With the wedding being in the beginning of November, we are hoping for moderate weather, however, this is Texas so you never know! All I ask ladies, is PLEASE don't wear white!!!! We expect the ladies and girls in nice dresses and the men in dress pants and a dress shirt. Ties and jackets are optional. The after party, since the reception is on the water, is going to be pirate themed! You can stay in your formal wear or bring a change of clothes to dress up with us!

Are there two receptions?

Technically, yes. The yacht charter event will be three hours in duration. In those three hours, the ceremony will be performed, lunch will be served, the cake will be cut, and there will be a disc jockey and dance floor. We are quirky though so we decided to a "Happily Ever... After!" party. After everyone has exited the boat, we plan on heading over to the Turnaround Club in Pasadena, TX for a longer celebration. We typically play in the Saturday night pool tournament and thought it would be funny/fun to do so with everyone in formal attire. Snacks will be provided. Drinks will not be. Everyone will have to open and pay for their own tab at this point. There will be pool, darts, dancing, and the usual Saturday night DJ and Karaoke. We will also have more people celebrating with us that we couldn't fit onto the boat! Come join us for party #2 if you're able!

Will there be alcohol?

The package we chose for the yacht charter does include an open bar. House brands of liquor, house wine, and draft beer are included. There will also be mocktails for anyone who doesn't drink or is underage. The party at Turnaround Club will not have drinks provided but it is a bar! You're more than welcome to start a tab and keep the celebration going!

Will food will be provided?

The boat will be providing a chef-served dual lunch buffet. There will be salad, beef, salmon, mashed potatoes, sautéed veggies, and mac and cheese. There will also be the wedding cake, cheesecake, and a mousse cake. Snacks will be provided at the Turnaround Club after party.

Parking Details

There will be free parking on the Kemah Boardwalk for all guests attending the wedding. Event parking is in the Kemah parking garage to the left of the location of Landry's. Parking at Turnaround Club is limited but the overfill can park in any of the neighboring businesses parking areas.

Are the guests allowed to use their phones for photos?

Yes and No. We will have a photographer to catch the precious moments of our big day. During the ceremony, we kindly ask you to keep your phones tucked away so our photographer can do their job uninterrupted. We will also have a designated person to video key points of the wedding. Outside of the ceremony, feel free to take any photos you would like! However, we ask that you please do not post any photos or videos of us on social media until we have done so. No live streaming during the service!

Are you accepting wedding gifts?

Yes! Please do not feel obligated to supply a wedding gift but you're more than welcome to provide one if you would like. We have an amazon registry. The link is below. Or you can also provide funds to help offset the cost of the wedding and our future as a married couple. Funds can be sent via Cashapp, Venmo, or Zelle.
