General FAQs
Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
There is NO parking at the venue. We will be providing offsite parking and a "park and ride" shuttle approximately a half mile from the venue. The shuttle times are as follows:
Arrivals: 3:15 - 4:45 pm.
Departures: 9:30 - midnight.
We estimate there will be a shuttle available every 10-15 minutes. You may also walk from the parking area to the venue. It is an enjoyable walk that is mostly on a gravel road/driveway.
*IMPORTANT*:
There are very minimal Lyft/Uber services available so please plan in advance by utilizing a designated driver, private car, taxi service, etc. or camping out with us for the after party if you intend to imbibe.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
After turning onto Chezem Rd, drive about a mile up and make a right just before Forest Hill Ln. to park in our neighbor's field and ride the shuttle to our wedding.
Here is a Google map with a pin showing where you will turn: https://maps.app.goo.gl/wfNMcqrtxv6qp5qs7
There is a wooden farmer's market-type stand marking the driveway that you will turn onto and drive up to park.
We will also have signs and people to help direct you upon arrival!
What will the weather be like?
We are envisioning the weather being absolutely fabulous! Typically, late June is the most beautiful time to be in Oregon. The rains have passed, the sun is shining, and everything is in bloom. There is no humidity and minimal bugs. That said, being in Oregon means that it could rain at any time so please come prepared. It could also be hotter than normal. On average, temperatures range from low 50s to low 80s. We recommend keeping an eye on the weather before you depart given that global weirding/climate chaos is here.
Is there a dress code?
We'd like you to wear something you've always wanted to wear to a wedding!
We invite festive, creative, extravagant attire as this will be one heck of a party. ;) Long story short, we want you to wear what makes you feel AMAZING! Feel free to "go all out" and do you in your personal version of extravagance.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* Keep in mind that this is a rural wedding held mostly outdoors in wild (but mowed), grassy meadows. It is relatively flat and definitely walkable, but we do NOT recommend high heels. There will be tented and indoor areas as well. We can't wait to see what you show up wearing!
Can I bring a guest?
While we love little more than community, we have carefully crafted our guest list to reflect who we want to share our love fest with and are aiming for it to be as intimate an affair as possible. Please look up your online RSVP for clarification of who is in your invite party and reach out directly if you have questions or concerns. We appreciate your understanding and support!
Are children invited?
We are inviting children of family members who are traveling to join us on a case-by-case basis. Please don't assume one way or another whether your children are invited and either check your online RSVP for clarification or ask us directly. We are doing our best to delicately balance the needs of our guests and ourselves. In the spirit of transparency, we simply had more kids on our guest list than we have capacity to host. Please don't take it personally if your little one(s) aren't on the list. It might just mean we want your full adult attention for ourselves. ;)
Are pets welcome?
Unfortunately not. There are two dogs who live on the property who might make an appearance, Toby and Rosa, but we otherwise cannot accommodate any animals at our event.
Will there be alcohol?
There will be beer and wine provided, but this will not be an alcohol-focused open bar wedding. We welcome you to bring the beverages and accouterments you desire to have a lively and joyful experience.
Can I bring gifts?
Please refer to the registry page to see how best you can support us in this next chapter of our lives.
If you have further questions that have gone unanswered,
please contact Grace or Graham.
