Max and Grace met back in 2016 at a summer camp called Frontier Camp in Texas. Max was 15 and Grace was 14. For Max, it was love at first sight, even though they only had a few interactions that summer. Fast forward to 2017, Max was hoping and praying Grace would show up at camp again—and lucky for him, she did! They spent more time hanging out that year, and Max made sure to find her on Instagram after camp. That’s where their friendship really started.


Even though Grace was in Houston and Max was in Fort Worth, they kept the connection strong with long-distance conversations, calls, and occasional visits. At that point, Max and Grace were best friends. Max kept pursuing Grace, but she wasn’t into him like that at first. Then, by December 2018, something started to change, and Grace began to think maybe, just maybe, she had feelings for Max after all. Fast-forward to June 2019, after many more occasions like prom, wisdom teeth surgery (if you know you know), and Max's high school graduation, Grace finally shared her true feelings with Max and the rest is history.


Their dating relationship is coming up on six years (as of this next June), with most of those years spent doing long distance. Despite the miles between them—Grace living in Houston and later moving to College Station to complete her Bachelor's Degree at Texas A&M—they proved that true love can thrive no matter the distance. In July 2024, their patience and perseverance paid off when Grace moved to Fort Worth, TX to start her career, bringing them closer as Max continued his work in live television and flight school.


On November 23rd, 2024, Max proposed in the most perfect and fitting way—a few thousand feet in the air! After Grace said yes, they landed at an airport where a hangar full of their loved ones were waiting to celebrate their engagement.


After all this time, Max and Grace are still each other's best friends, proving that a love built on true friendship and deep connection is truly one of a kind. They believe that God’s perfect timing played a beautiful role in shaping their journey, growing and preparing them for each other and for marriage. In the end, everything fell into place, becoming an answered prayer for both of them. And now, the time has finally come to make it forever!
