Grace:

The song “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” probably says it best when it says “you’re just too good to be true”, that’s exactly how I’ve felt about Anthony Todaro since the first time I heard about him, which was back in April of 2023. Last April one of my best friends Mariana texted me one day that her husband’s best friend was going to be moving back from CA, he was the most amazing down to earth guy, and most importantly he loved the Lord. I was definitely intrigued by this “best friend” but honestly thought I would most likely never meet him. Fast forward a couple weeks, I am in the car with Mariana when Anthony accidentally called her (instead of Mariana’s husband Adrian) and we informally met for the first time via phone. I noticed SO many amazing things about him during that first conversation but I remember the most noticeable characteristics that he demonstrated was an overall genuine kindness and consideration for others. Again, another fast forward, Anthony moved to NC and we ended up meeting in person. I can genuinely say that I don’t think I’ve been so nervous and also so incredibly excited to meet someone! We ended up talking and texting a lot and no matter how many hours we were on the phone, it always felt like just a couple minutes. Getting to know Anthony has been the best blessing and falling in love with him was the easiest, most wonderful thing! To say I feel blessed and honored to be able to marry him is such an understatement, and I truly cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together.

Anthony:

“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” Though I’ve never seen the movie, “When Harry Met Sally,” these words resonate with me because they describe exactly how I feel about Grace Magee. In April of 2023, I was in the process of moving from California to North Carolina, a decision that I had been praying about for a while. During that time, my best friend Adrian, his wife, Mariana and I would all talk on the phone regularly, and we were excited to be reunited once I officially got settled back on the east coast. On one of my last lunch breaks before leaving my job at the time, I tried to call Adrian but I inadvertently called Mariana because I have her contact saved in my phone as “Mariana Adrian’s Wife.” As God’s timing would have it, Mariana was actually with Grace at that time, so I briefly had the chance to talk to both of them on the phone before returning to work. I had heard a lot of great things about Grace from Mariana and Adrian, and after that phone call, I hoped I would get the chance to meet her someday. Little did I know, we would end up meeting each other for the first time on June 10, 2023, as Mariana and Adrian had coordinated an exciting weekend for the four of us to hang out together in the good old state of Georgia where I grew up. That weekend was everything I could have asked for and more, and I knew I wanted to continue getting to know Grace despite the 8 hour distance between us. From that day onward, Grace and I have talked every single day, seeing each other on weekends as much as possible and making the most of our time together. It didn’t take me long to realize she is the woman I want to marry and grow old with. Falling in love with Grace has been the biggest blessing - It has been easy, exciting, joyful, and everything I could have hoped for and prayed for. There is no one on this earth I’d rather spend the rest of my life serving the Lord with other than Grace Magee (soon to be Todaro).
