It all started when Jacques saw a video of Grace singing "Sunrise" by Norah Jones on Instagram. Little did he know, she had been following him for about 3 months before he saw her video! After graduating high school, Grace was approached by a photographer who wanted to build up his musician portfolio and asked if Grace would be interested in taking photos. She scrolled through his uploaded photos on his website and saw a photo of Jacques. She immediately went to instagram and followed him. Soon after, he messaged her and they booked a show in Nashville, TN together!

They officially met face-to-face a few months later (on 11/11/2018, which has since become a very special date to them) in downtown Nashville where Jacques showed Grace around the town. On 11/13/2018 they played a show at the venue "The End".

Grace went back home to Canton, GA and Jacques stayed in Nashville. They spent hours on FaceTime talking about everything and nothing (you know we had to quote the song!). They planned a few shows in Georgia and Jacques drove down for a weekend to play.

On their first date, Grace and Jacques spent a day exploring downtown Atlanta together. As you can see by the picture, they already felt like best friends.

For the first year of their relationship, Grace and Jacques were long distance. At least once a month, Jacques would drive 2 hours through the Tennessee mountains and Grace would drive an hour and a half to meet in the middle in Chattanooga, TN. (Well, Grace's parents would drive her because she hated driving on the highway at that time. But they made a fun day out of it too :) ) They spent hours in Coolidge Park and downtown Chattanooga making lots of memories together.

This was the day Jacques asked Grace to go with him to France to meet his mother and her side of the family. Jacques says that this was the day he knew he was truly falling in love with Grace.

A month later, they found themselves in the French Riviera where Jacques showed Grace around his hometown, took her to his favorite bars and restaurants, and introduced her to his family and friends.

It was on this trip that they were given the nicknames "Pouch and Pouchette" by Jacques's mom, and it stuck! In fact, Jacques's grandfather (who is now 98 years old) has only ever called Grace by her nickname, Pouchette.

Grace and Jacques played a show at Stars and Bars in Monaco where Jacques's parents met.

So, time passed and Grace and Jacques fell more and more in love! They continued long distance until Grace made her move to Nashville in 2020.

When COVID hit, Grace could no longer live in the dorm on her University's campus, so Jacques and Grace decided to move in together!

Then, they brought home their best friend Lenny!

Later that year, they bought a house together! They both loved this little house. Jacques had a music studio set up, and Grace had a yoga studio. Lenny also had his little spots in the house that he loved. Within the year, Grace and Jacques had to sell the house. Nashville had gotten torrential rain one day in the Spring, which led to flooding. And one of the worst spots for the flooding happened to be in their backyard. This house sat on a creek that flooded to over 15 feet. They were fortunate enough to get out of the flood unscathed, but it caused them to make the decision to sell the house they loved. But this made them stronger, and showed them that they can get through anything.

Jacques and Grace continued to travel and make lots of songs and memories together.

And then the day came when Jacques got down on one knee!
