Hannah Davies - Maid of Honour
She may be 8 days younger than Grace, but Hannah has "big sister" energy.
Hannah has been helping out our bride since 2009 when she received a random Facebook wall post which read "Correct me if I'm wrong, but you know how to put movies on an Ipod Classic?".
She's been helping Grace ever since; not just with Apple Tech support, but with everything from job applications to life advice.
So it's about time she gets credited that Grace's wedding (and whole life, actually) would be much more chaotic and far less enjoyable without her.
While they don't agree on everything (specifically the "Normal People" TV show and the 2025 Grammys Album of the year winner)... they will always be besties.
Grace specifically wants to shout out Hannah's patience. It is not an uncommon occurrence for Grace to send a lengthy, 7 minute voicenote to Hannah asking for her advice (or worse, 7 one minute voicenotes in quick succession). Hannah sends a considered, measured, and lengthy response after much thought and deliberation; only to hear back "Oh yeah, don't worry about that, I already did the option you said not to do".
And yes, she's still there helping Grace when that option predictably fails.
Ryley Smithson - Best Man
The year is 2008 - Dylan's velcro wallet is chained to his baggy jeans, his DC skate shoes are held together with Jagermeister & Red Bull & he's growing out his shaggy unwashed fringe. Dylan's just been booked to DJ at The Broadway Hotel in Glenelg alongside another up-n-coming suburban DJ superstar...
Enter Nova91.9FM's most outgoing street team member Ryley - big hair, big personality & even bigger... aspirations.
Ryley's always had Dylan's back: delivering calorie dense burgers to Dylan's hotel room during COVID quarantine, teaching him how to graciously face-plant down Japan's fiercest ski runs, luring Dylan into Thailand's deepest jungles with the promise of free Chang™ beer & even showing Dylan how to efficiently de-construct a warehouse roller door by simply driving through it.
Not only that, back in 2020 Ryley handed Dylan a professional Nikon DSLR camera, saying "Your mobile phone pics are pretty good, I reckon you should give photography a proper go". God-tier encouragement.
Ryley can even take full credit for being the one to introduce Grace & Dylan on a hike in December 2019.
