Austin and Grace had several mutual friends throughout middle and high school. After talking more at their high school football games during their junior year, Austin asked Grace on a date. They had their first date at Mineral Shakes and went to their junior year homecoming together! They had the best time together and realized that what they had together was special. Austin officially asked Grace to be his girlfriend on April 14th, 2017.

After high school graduation, Austin went to Radford University for college and Grace went to Longwood. They did long distance for four years and moved in together after graduation.

On the annual Nicholas beach trip, Grace and Austin went to Sandy Bay in Hatteras to take photos at sunset.
While taking pictures, Austin surprised Grace and proposed with her Nana’s ring.
