If you ask Grace how we met she would answer, "which time?" As Draven was concussed and dealing with a lot of memory loss at the time of their meeting, so the second time he introduced himself to Grace, she responded with,

"I know who you are. You introduced yourself to me last week at the start of our shift." None of which Draven had remembered.

Throughout the next 9 months as we worked together at the pet store, we made jokes and teased each other. Grace threatening to throw crickets at Draven while Draven threatened to throw Grace into the goldfish tank. Neither of us were looking for a relationship when we met, but I guess sometimes the unexpected things in life bring about the happiest endings. As we spent more time together and life threw its punches at us, we grew closer together and everyday became more appreciative of God bringing us together at just the right moment.

We both left the pet store within a week of each other, but that really only brought us closer together. We continued to hang out here and there and talk about random animal facts. I still remember the first time Draven asked to spend time together outside of work. He asked Grace to go bowling around midnight on a Sunday evening. It just so happened that we both needed to be with a friendly face that night, and so began the start of the building of the romantic feelings between us.

Come December of 2022 we officially started telling people that we were a couple. By April of 2023 Grace knew that she was going to spend the rest of her life with Draven while Draven made it known that he not only felt the same, but had never desired a future with anyone until now.

April 13, 2024 Draven and Grace took a weekend trip to West Virginia to do some hiking. At the top of one of the mountains along the Appalachians Draven proposed. Grace obviously said yes, but it was more than just a yes; she told him she was tired of waiting for him to propose, so she had bought him a ring as well and decided she would propose at the end of the trip if he didn't.

And now, on this day, we are happy to have you join us as we celebrate our love for one another and commitment to each other before God to start the journey of the rest of our lives together as one.
