10 years ago, Grace and Brandon spent the first parts of their college years only interacting in passing. Despite both being involved in the arts at Simpson College, it wasn't until the spring of 2016 that the two finally connected, when Brandon joined college choir and was seated behind his future fiance.
After Grace was able to endure a whole semester of bad puns, the two developed a friendship that would continue into the next school year. Fast forward to January of 2017, after some motivation and pushing from his fraternity brothers, Brandon would ask Grace out.
The first date was a success, where the two bonded over their shared interests in comedies, such as the office, the performing arts, and "looking at old things". The relationship would carry on throughout that semester, until the two made the hard decision to try long distance for a year with Brandon graduating and preparing to move to graduate school in Illinois.
Little did they know that that "one year" would become 5, seeing Brandon and Grace both going to graduate school across the country from one another. With a healthy amount trust in the relationship, a willingness to travel miles to see each other, and of course many hours of facetime, Grace and Brandon survived their stint with long distance.
In 2020 the two got their first taste at co-existing for an extended period of time, quarantining together during the pandemic, and in 2022 the two were finally able to move in together in the Twin Cities.
In the summer of 2023, at the Ishnala Supper Club in Wisconsin, Brandon proposed to Grace, and she said yes. The moment was backdropped by Lake Delton and was celebrated that night with Grace's family, though her nephews were more interested in going to the arcade.
After two years of planning, Grace and Brandon are excited to get to celebrate their relationship with you and are looking forward to starting this next chapter of their lives as husband and wife.
