Ubers and Lyfts are quite affordable in Orange County, so I recommend using either of these ride-sharing apps as your primary mode of transportation.
The trolley in Laguna Beach runs:
Monday-Thursday from 7:30am-6:00pm
Friday from 7:30am-10:00pm
Saturday from 9:00am-10:00pm
Sunday from 9:00am-7:00pm
The trolley is completely free, and will take you all around town. The trolleys can be tracked on the app "Laguna Beach Trolley App."
1. The Ranch at Laguna Beach (aka the venue): Nestled in the hills of Laguna Beach, this stunning resort is just a short walk from the beach. While it may be on the pricier side, it's definitely worth considering for a memorable stay.
2. Airbnb: Renting an Airbnb nearby is another great option, often more budget-friendly than a hotel. I recommend looking for places within a 40-minute drive of the venue, as traffic can be unpredictable.
3. Hotel: Laguna Beach has many beautiful hotels and you can't go wrong with places like The Montage, The Surf and Sand, and the Ritz-Carlton. Also there are other more-affordable options in Irvine or surrounding areas. Just keep in mind that you'll need to factor in transportation costs if you're staying farther from the venue.
College Friends: We suggest creating a group chat to find a place to stay together and make it a fun experience!
There are two local airports to consider:
1. John Wayne Airport (SNA): This is the closest airport to the venue.
2. Long Beach Airport (LGB): Another nearby option, but farther than SNA.
We recommend comparing rates and choosing the airline, flights, and airport that best suit your budget and schedule.
Since the wedding will take place in the afternoon on Saturday, we suggest flying in on Friday or early Saturday morning to ensure you're settled in.
I do not recommend flying into into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) due to the distance from Laguna Beach. While flights to LAX can sometimes be cheaper, keep in mind you'll need to arrange transportation to Laguna on your own.
