It has unique boutiques, restaurants, and a rich history.   The Keeper of the Plains This iconic sculpture at the confluence of the Arkansas and Little Arkansas Rivers is a symbol of Wichita. You can also explore the surrounding park and enjoy the scenic views.   Museum of World Treasures A fascinating museum located in downtown Wichita, with exhibits covering everything from ancient civilizations to modern history, including dinosaur fossils and a collection of military artifacts.   Wichita Art Museum Known for its impressive collection of American art, it also has regular exhibits from local artists. The Cosmosphere is an incredible space museum with exhibits on the history of space exploration, including artifacts from the Space Race, a large collection of Soviet space memorabilia, and a planetarium. It’s one of the top space museums in the world.   Strataca – Kansas Underground Salt Museum This one-of-a-kind museum lets you explore a working salt mine that’s 650 feet underground. It’s an unusual and fascinating stop, showcasing salt mining history and geology.   Hutchinson Zoo A small but lovely zoo with animals from around the world. It’s perfect for a quick stop with kids or animal enthusiasts.   Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center IMAX The IMAX theater at the Cosmosphere shows amazing space-themed films, perfect for all ages.
