Austin first set eyes on Grace around 2001 in Sr. Ameline's pre-kindergarten classroom. Little did they know that God was already planning their love story! As each new school year started and ended, the two began to develop a close friendship and enjoyed each other's company.

When Austin's dad landed a new job in Ohio, the pair never let the distance deter their friendship. Over the summers, Austin would fly back in town and visit his many friends as well as find himself at Grace's house. The two of them always picked up just where they left off, as if the distance never even happened.

Austin then moved to Maryland where he completed high school. Once again, the 1,151 miles never seemed to separate the pair. Austin always made his way back home in the summers to find himself in Mrs. Carla's dental chair (conveniently Grace's mom). It was here in this sacred space where they would discuss just what Grace had been up to.

As time went on, Austin started his company while attending ULL and Grace majored in Early Childhood Education at LSU. While the two had different college experiences, Austin still managed to keep tabs on Grace through his hygienist.

In early 2023, Mrs. Carla casually told Grace that Austin had stopped by for a cleaning. Grace quickly took out her phone and texted Austin asking him if he could "pencil her in" his busy schedule. Austin graciously cleared his schedule and the two went to the most romantic spot they knew, Sushi Yama. After lunch turned into dinner, the two couldn't deny that something was there. Making the jump from "just friends" to "more than just friends" was definitely worth the risk! The two quickly became inseparable and enjoyed traveling with each other to new places.

In May, Austin secretly planned a beach trip that would be unforgettable. As soon as Grace finished teaching her beloved students, the two took off to Cape San Blas, Florida where he would ask her a very important question. A beautiful walk on the beach became a proposal. As soon as Austin got on one knee, Grace immediately shouted, "YES!!" And like they say, the rest is history!
