Our Wedding

It all began in 2018, when fate (and a little bit of Tinder) brought us together. Jordan was attending Colorado Film School, and I was at the University of Colorado Denver. I was home, sick with Mono, and bored, so I decided to swipe on Tinder. Little did I know, that swipe would change the trajectory of my whole life. Jordan and I matched and for the first six weeks of talking and spending time together, we couldn’t get near each other at all because I was contagious. But that didn’t matter—we quickly realized how comfortable we were around each other. Everything just felt easy. Being open and honest was easy. Laughing was easy. From the start, it was clear that this was different from any other connection we’d had before. Our love story didn’t have a single defining moment—it grew naturally and beautifully over time. It was a comfortable, peaceful, and nourishing love that felt right from the very beginning. After dating for a year, life took us in different directions. Jordan moved to California, and at the time, we weren’t ready to do long distance, so we parted ways. But even during those two years apart, we knew deep down that we were each other’s person. So, two years later, we reconnected and decided to give long distance a try. Jordan was in Arizona, and I was finishing up my degree in Colorado. We made it work, and after I graduated in 2021, we both moved to Massachusetts together. Fast forward to December 3, 2023, our 4th anniversary. We were in Maine, on a snowy walk, when Jordan pointed out a “really cute chipmunk” underneath a bridge. As I looked for it, he got down on one knee. When I couldn’t find the chipmunk and turned around, there he was, proposing. I burst into tears and, of course, said yes! We celebrated by bowling, then eating pizza in the hot tub at our cabin that night. Today, we live together in Massachusetts with our cat, Rue. We enjoy discovering new restaurants, binge-watching RuPaul's Drag Race, going on walks together, and hunting for books, records, and movies. We love spending time together and have so many fun memories: painting pottery, beach picnics, couples massages, zoo trips, a weekend in the mountains of Colorado, roadtrips, needle-felting at an alpaca farm, blueberry and tulip picking, water parks, and many more. We can't wait to have a lifetime's worth of memories with each other and with all of you! We appreciate that our values are aligned, we have mutual respect for one another and strong communication, and we continue to find new things to love about each other every day. We’re excited to keep growing together, and excited to fall in love with every new version of each other as the years progress—as husband and wife, parents, grandparents, and beyond.

Aria and Grace's moms have been friends since kindergarten and now the friendship has continued to the next generation with their daughters. Growing up, they considered themselves sisters, and still do. When they were very young, they made a promise to one another: they would stand by each other’s side as maid of honor on their wedding days. Now, with Grace's wedding approaching, Aria is thrilled to fulfill that vow (just not so thrilled about making the speech).

Devin and Jordan met at Colorado Film School in 2017, starting out as roommates but quickly becoming close friends. They worked on several student films, including one Devin wrote and directed with Jordan behind the camera. Their bond mostly grew in the living room, where they explored music, shared stories, and collaborated on creative projects. Devin has been an instrumental part of Jordan’s life, making him the clear choice as his best man.
