Matt and I first found eachother on a dating app in June of 2020. We began talking, and eventually met up in person for our first date on July 14, 2020. Matt came to pick me up, and we went to Bliss Bee in Williston. After a fun dinner and getting to know each other more, he had a plan to take us to watch the sunset at Overlook Park in South Burlington. It was a beautiful night, and nature was in full bloom. This was the first time that Matt pulled out his phone to use his bird call app so he could identify the bird he was hearing near us. I didn’t grow up being very curious around nature, so I knew he would be opening up a whole new world for me, and that proved to be very true. As we spent more time together and our feelings grew stronger, we decided to make our relationship official under a sky full stars on August 8, 2020. 
We have had a lot of fun and growth together throughout these last four years. If you know Matt, you know he loves the outdoors. He loves to fish, duck hunt, and just explore; he’s an amazing teacher of all those things. As I did not grow up doing those things, he makes it as fun and easy as possible for me to enjoy his lifestyle and always pushes me to try new things. As my passion is baking, I push him to try the new foods I make, so it’s a great balance! Since opening the bakery in September of 2021, we’ve been able to work together to make time for each other despite busy schedules, and make the most of it! We couldn’t be more excited to begin our new life together. We both have large families that mean so much to us, and we prioritize keeping them close throughout every day life. We can’t wait to start our own family soon and continue to grow our family tree!
