Our Wedding

<p>Wesley &amp; I met in August 2018 at our job, Blaze Pizza. This particular store had just been built &amp; wasn’t a “running” Blaze pizza yet. They hired new managers, hired all positions for the store, including Wesley &amp; I, &amp; we all opened the store together. I remember locking eyes with him on our very first day meeting everyone. He was standing with his then, &amp; now best friend, Corey Caudle. To this day, we thank Corey for encouraging Wes to ask for my number. We were both 17 &amp; in high school. He went to Maryville High School &amp; I was homeschooled. He, of course, worked nights but since I was homeschooled, I worked mornings. We didn’t work a whole lot of shifts together. We didn’t hardly ever cross paths, but when we did work together, there wasn’t a moment that I wasn’t laughing around him or trying to find a way to be near him. He was different than anyone i’d ever met. He was genuine &amp; actually funny. He’s the type of person to make an awkward situation fun. He takes the time to make sure that everyone else is okay before himself. He was just different.       Fast forward, he had finally asked for my number, I gave it to him, but I asked for his Snapchat. Anyone who knows Wesley, knows he’s not the best at answering a text message, let alone a Snapchat. He snapchatted me everyday. I now know that he probably hated it but I also know that he did it just to talk to me.                Finally, early November 2018, he had finally asked me out on a date. We live in the TN mountains so he, of course, took me up to our Parkway to see our mountains. The trees are beautiful around this time of year so I was excited. My parents are the traditional type and like the boy to meet the parents before a date. This was always nerve-wrecking asking a boy to meet my parents before even going on our first date. Wes, of course, had no problem doing this and met my parents. He took me on our date, and it felt like we’d known each other our whole lives. Maybe a week later, we went on a second date. I remember that I had mentioned to him how much I enjoyed swinging as a kid, so for our second date, he took me to a park near our house to go swing. We swang and there asked me to be his girlfriend on 11/24/18.       Fast forward 7 years later to the day, he took me to that same park, sat me on the same swings we sat on 7 years ago, he brought me over the bench we had our first kiss on, and he asked me to marry him. This year we will celebrate 8 years together, get married, and live happily ever after!!     And that’s our story.</p>

Grace: “This is my beautiful best friend, Cayden! We met at our old job back in 2021 and she has been my ride or die since. I couldn’t imagine a life without Cayden. She’s thoughtful, loving, and truly inspiring. She’s the type of best friend everyone hopes and prays for.”

Grace: “This is my beautiful bestie, Alyssa! We currently work together and keep each other sane while doing so. She keeps me laughing, always keeps me on my toes, is always there for me when I need her.”

Grace: “This is my beautiful, soon to be, sister-in-law, Kaitlin! She’s the most down to earth, kind person you’ll meet. Ever since I’ve been in Wes’ life, she’s done nothing but shown me love and kindness. She has 3 handsome boys, Landon, Ethan, and Charlie and is married to Marc Fernandez.”

Wes: “Corey and I have been through the most together and i’m the person I am today because of him. There is never a dull moment and we literally cannot do anything seriously or without laughing. Whether it was keeping my head up or just listening, he’s always been there for me.”

Wes: “This is Garrett, the oldest of our group and someone i know i can always count on to back be up in any situation. We lived through the golden era of our favorite childhood games together and somehow made it through school and graduated at the same time. I don’t know how we did it but those memories will be with me for life.

Wes: “This is Gunner, he’s the baby of the group. His older brother is Garrett Goins and we’ve all been friends since we were 10&12 years old. We spend most our time fishing together, rage baiting each other on Xbox, or drinking entirely way too much alcohol. Love you forever brother.”

Wes: “Austin and i have been friends since 8th grade and we both have grown so much since then. We have both improved so much on guitar and been there for each other along the way. Our jam sessions are something i always look forward to and whether we ever start a band or not, i know i would want him by my side.”
