<p>We first met in high school. Grace was a freshman, and Logan was a junior. We were both in band and had mutual friends, but we didn’t exactly hit it off at first. Grace thought Logan was just another goofy high school boy, and Logan thought Grace was an annoying freshman. But after our friends graduated, we found ourselves spending more time together, and something shifted. Logan eventually won Grace over, and we started dating on November 9th, 2019.If you ask anyone, they’ll tell you Grace knew from the beginning that she was going to marry him. Logan’s love grew steadily over the years. Strong, patient, and constant.We made it through long distance while Logan started college and Grace finished high school. Two years of goodbyes and long drives only brought us closer. When Grace joined Logan at Northwest Missouri State, everything started to click into place. From staying up later than we should have, to coffee dates and terrible dining hall food, those college years were filled with laughter, love, and a lot of microwaved meals.Logan graduated in May 2024, and with Grace still in school, we weren’t sure what came next. But Logan committed—literally. He took a job over an hour away and started commuting daily so we could get our first apartment together. We’ve learned to cherish the little things like walks with our dogs, nights at home, and sharing the everyday moments that matter most.Grace may have dropped hints (okay, a lot of hints) about getting engaged, but Logan had a plan. On December 21st, 2024, just before Christmas, he proposed in front of the Crown Center Christmas tree. The same spot where Grace first joined his family for a Christmas celebration five years earlier. With both of our families there to witness the moment, Logan got down on one knee and made Grace’s dream of a holiday proposal come true.Today, we’re building a life together in Lawson with our two dogs, Bee and Atlas, learning to appreciate the simple, everyday moments that make life sweet. We feel incredibly grateful to have grown up side by side and to have found a love that is steady, joyful, and true. We can’t wait to begin this next chapter together as husband and wife.</p>
