we’re so happy you’re here!
Noah and I met in 2014 at the freshman center at Allen. After I told Noah I liked him, he initially told me it was sweet, but he wanted to be friends first. After being friends for about two weeks, on October 1, 2014, he asked me to be his girlfriend. We spent most of high school in tutoring, with our friends, at church & working.
Come senior year we knew pretty quickly we would not be going to the same college (Gig ‘em). While it was a scary thought, it was scarier to think about going through such a major milestone without each other. We spent the last summer before college together almost everyday, on trips, and surrounded by our best friends and family.
College was our three and a half years of long distance. By no means was it fun being distant from each other, or easy, but it was always worth it. We grew, listened, learned, were patient and forgiving and both made life long friends in the process.
We both studied hard & spent time at football games & with friends whenever possible, and of course driving the occasional 7 hours between College Station and Lubbock.
Noah was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha at Texas Tech and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.0 and his B.S. Mechanical Engineering.
I was a part of a leadership organization in college where I met some of my best friends and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Public Health. I went on to finish my Master’s in Business Administration & Healthcare Administration Summa Cum Laude in 2023.
In 2022, Noah was offered a job with Thermofisher Scientific where he would be a part of a rotational program, meaning we'd move twice in two years. In June, we found out we would be headed to Hillsboro, Oregon, about 10-15 miles outside of Portland. With my job being remote, it was a no brainer to pack up and move!
About a week before we left, on the Fourth of July, Noah proposed. It was a truly magical night celebrating with our family and friends before we headed out.
Living in Oregon was everything we could have possibly dreamed of and more. Four beautiful seasons, amazing food, and true nature everywhere. We were an hour away from the beach, and an hour away from the mountains. We could not have asked for a more scenic home away from home. We enjoyed hiking, learning about the history and trying all sorts of new food on the weekends. I was able to finish my MBA while we were there & Noah learned so much through his job and wonderful community at work. We truly will cherish our year in Oregon for the rest of our lives.
In June of 2023, we learned our next year would be spent on the east coast, in Asheville, North Carolina.
In July of 2023 we left Oregon and drove home to Texas for about a week or two before packing up again, and heading to Asheville, North Carolina for the second part of Noah’s program.
We settled in and very quickly decided we were ready to get a puppy. A few weeks later, we drove down to South Carolina to bring home our sweet Mac.
We spent our weekends in Asheville exploring downtown and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains all with our precious golden.
We have had quite the journey the last few years and have grown together so much over the past decade. The next step in our story includes each and every one of you coming together this October to help us celebrate our marriage!
We are so grateful for the last 10 years and look forward to the rest of our lives together!
