GRACE AND AARON: AN ODE TO AWE

It’s reminiscent of a fairytale.Or a daydream.Or one of those love stories you can’t help but ravenously read.Yes, it’s all those things.Except it’s also real life.Vibrant and captivating and real. This is the story of Grace and Aaron. They met at Ithaca College near the southern shores of Cayuga Lake in New York. That was sophomore year. But like any good love story, a lot happened before the two became one.She was a barista. He was a regular. She rode horses. He raced cars. She studied in Australia. He travelled the country. She pined for Aaron. He pined for Gracie. And then finally (finally!) they came together senior year. But they loved each other long before that.Nowadays home is Boston. It’s baking and globetrotting and stargazing.Snowboarding and dining and drifting. And it’s the joy of knowing that it’s all meant to be.Gracie and Aaron met by the water. They’re marrying by the water.Their lives flow like water. Here, there, and perfectly into place.Seeing the world.Savoring the now.Scheming their next amazing adventure together. And always tucking love for one another into every little nook of every day.And so yes, dear reader, the story of Gracie and Aaron certainly feels like a fairytale. And we’re their court, lucky enough to pay witness to their vows of love and eternity.Join us, won’t you, on the coast of Cape Ann on the 31 st of May 2027?When they say "I do".– Julie Garland Clementi, writer and dear friend

Travel & Stay

There are many accommodation options across Cape Ann and the surrounding North Shore, several of which are just a short distance from where we’ll be celebrating at the Beauport Hotel Gloucester. We’ve included a wide selection of nearby hotels and inns, along with larger hotel options further out, to help with planning. The region also offers many Airbnb and VRBO rentals, guest houses, and vacation homes for those looking for a more private or home-style stay. Memorial Day Weekend is a very popular time to visit the North Shore, so we recommend making travel and lodging arrangements as early as possible.

While You're Here...

We’re so excited to share a few of our favorite places around Cape Ann. These are spots we love for walks, coffee, dinners, and slow coastal afternoons – whether you’re here for the whole weekend or the afternoon before the celebration.

"I can always eat" - Aaron most likely Source Bakery (Gloucester) One of our personal favorites, specializing in from-scratch pastries and inventive breakfast sandwiches. Virgilio's (Gloucester) Family owned Italian Bakery famous for their fresh baked breads, pastries, and Italian sandwiches that would make Tony Soprano proud. Not Your Ordinary Bistro (Rockport) Casual seafood shack with excellent fresh seafood and our personal favorite lobster roll in New England (trust Aaron — he’s allergic). Oak to Ember (Gloucester) Elegant-but-fun spot with a rotating seasonal menu. If it’s on the menu, don’t skip the iconic crunch wrap special.

Wining & Dining (Aaron's Favorites)

"Do you want to see my haul?” - Grace at some point Bearskin Neck (Rockport) – A historic waterfront stretch filled with harbor views, independent galleries, small shops, and classic coastal New England vibes. Pastaio Via Corta (Gloucester) – Our favorite Gloucester spots for fresh handmade pasta, natural wine, and pantry goods. They carry a variety of Italian imports and locally made provisions we always end up stocking up on! Goodlinens Studio (Gloucester) – A beautifully curated Main Street shop featuring natural linens, bath and kitchen essentials, and coastal-inspired home goods.

Shopping & Wandering (Grace's Favorites)

Good Harbor Beach (Gloucester)A wide, sandy beach perfect for long walks, especially at low tide when you can walk out toward Salt Island. Wingaersheek Beach (Gloucester)Quieter and more tucked away, with gorgeous sunset views and beautiful tidal flats. Halibut Point State Park (Rockport)A scenic waterfront park with harbor views, walking paths, and historic coastal landmarks including Tablet Rock, marking one of the earliest English settlement sites in Massachusetts. Singing Beach (Manchester-by-the-Sea) One of Aaron and Grace's favorite summertime spots, Singing Beach is known for its powder soft sand, scenic rock formations, and charming town center.

Beaches & Views

Hammond Castle Museum (Gloucester) – A seaside medieval-style castle overlooking the Atlantic, filled with stone archways, gardens, and Venetian inspired baths. One of the most unique and iconic spots in the region! Eastern Point Lighthouse (Gloucester) – A scenic lighthouse and coastal walking area at the edge of Gloucester Harbor, especially beautiful around sunset.
