Forest and I met in the Kids Ministry at our church in June of 2021. I served in the Nursery/Preschool room and Forest served in the Elementary room. Even though we had both attended this church for almost a year, we had never seen each other.
The Sunday we met, the nursery was short on volunteers so both Forest and I were called in to help. I walked in to Forest rocking the Worship Pastor's son and I quickly developed a crush. Although, I truly never thought anything would come of it. Many prayers and three months later, I made the move to ask Forest to lunch. We grabbed sushi downtown and our date lasted almost 5 hours! Afterwards, Forest texted me and said that we had stayed so long at the sushi restaurant we could've grabbed dinner after. He then said that would be our second date. I was very excited to say the least. I then FaceTimed my sister, Kenzie, in disbelief that my crush might be something more.
Many memories passed and the next important date lands on April 21st. One Friday, Forest and Blue (my dog) picked me up from work and we went for walk, which was not unusual. We walked up a small incline that overlooked the City of Boise. Once reaching the top, Forest embraced me in a hug and began to pray. After the hug, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I thought he was kidding and immediately started to look around for my sister, because I knew if this was the real deal, she would be there. Lo and behold, there was Kenzie behind a bush taking photos. I kept repeating "are you serious!" & "what are you doing!?". I of course said yes.
Now, we are here, getting married!! We cannot wait to celebrate this day before the Lord as all of our family and close friends witness.
My Mom Kate always wanted to have a girl and she would have named her Grace. When we met at church in the kids ministry we both had our eyes on each other and eventually Grace asked me out for lunch on October 17th, 2021. Our first date went so long that we probably could have gotten dinner after. From there we grew closer going on dates all over. Taking care of Grace’s dog Blue and being each other's wedding date over and over. Finally, I surprised Grace with a proposal on top of the hill at Camels Back park on April 21st, 2023. Grace’s sister was in the bushes to take pictures and there was a group of friends waiting for us to celebrate after. Since then, we've started to build a house in Meridian and can’t wait to celebrate with all of our friends and family in July.
