This picture was taken the day after our very first date where Grace took me up Sumas Mountain and had a surprise picnic set up at the top of the quarry. We went for icecream at Birchwood Dairy Farm and finished the night off with a bonfire! The very next day we met up to head out to Stave Lake where we road my dirt bike in and around the sand dunes. That's where this picture takes place.
It was Easter Long Weekend in 2019 where Piper and I decided to pack up our tent & my pup and head up to the Alexandra Bridge for a 2-night camping trip. We gathered firewood and cooked hot dogs over a blazing fire for dinner. We danced in the glow of the embers and the light of the clear night Cariboo stars. We lit up some fireworks and as Piper stared amazed at the lights, I stared amazed at her. This was the first time I told her that I loved her.
May Long Weekend in 2019 we set out for a 5-day road trip through 6 of the United States. Driving almost 3 days straight, we eventually landed in Zion National Park in Utah in the middle of the night. Just as the sun rose the next morning, so did the vibrant red & orange colours of the red rocks and clay mountains. We hiked all day and explored the city all night. This was the day I presented Piper with a small ring box that had a key to my house inside. She agreed to move in with me and I was on top of the clouds the whole way home. Not even worried about the 18 hour drive ahead of us. 5 days on the road, 46 hours in the car, and we loved every single second of it. She is and always will be my favourite adventure partner.
August 4th, 2019, Piper drove us up to Kamloops to pick up our little bundle of crazy and claws! Colt was waiting patiently for us and since that day he has been full of love and energy. Our little family was growing and I couldn't be more happy with the joy and companionship he brings us every single day. 🐶
Our first Christmas in 2019 at Piper's work Christmas Party!
