Duncan and I met in 2019 during our sophomore year of college. I was at the University of Kansas, and he was at Benedictine College. At the time, one of my friends was dating his roommate (shoutout Connor), which led to a trip to Benedictine where we met. I remember calling my mom after that weekend and telling her I thought I might be in love.

We started dating at 19 and have grown up alongside each other ever since. It has not always been easy, but we have always been committed to figuring things out. After college, we moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma so I could pursue my master’s and PhD. Starting over in a new town, away from my family, by ourselves was challenging. During our first week in Stillwater, we adopted a dog, Mabel (crazy Mabel). As we come to the end of our time in Stillwater, I cannot help but feel sentimental about all the challenges, life changing moments, and laughs we have experienced together that, through hard work, have made our relationship even stronger.

Six and a half years later, we have built a little life together. We cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with all the people we love most. See you on June 27th! :)
