Cody and Gracen's story starts on a hot and sunny Sunday afternoon behind Granby Mills apartment. Cody had recently decided that spending all of 2020 in his apartment wasn't the best idea, and Gracen was looking for good vibes and some form of athleticism to find her. They developed some inside jokes over the weeks, and settled into a big mutual friend group filled with beach days, fall hikes, and game nights.

Fast forward a year and some change, and Cody and Gracen became closer. Big friend hang outs turned into one on one hang outs and deep talks as they both navigated the post break up with exes, and of course, neither wanted to admit feelings. It took some friends' probing questions and some unexpected jealousy to get them to finally face the facts in spring of 2023: They LIKE liked each other.

The next year of dating felt like a deeper continuation of the friendship and good times that started on that Sunday in 2021. Cody looped Gracen into his love of golf and Everplay sports (where her mom became a loyal spectator!), and Gracen got him into Suits, the "relationship" side of Instagram reels, and made his snack stash exponentially better.

In June of 2024, they planned a vacation together! Little did Gracen know that their first cruise would turn into a celebration of their riverwalk engagement the night before departure!
