Colby and Graci’s journey began on move-in day during their freshman year at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. They met when Graci and her roommates, Maddie and Ansley, invited students from their dorm floor over in hopes of making new friends. Colby and his roommate, Wickham, stopped by—and even helped the girls decorate their dorm room.

Over the next couple of years, Colby and Graci became good friends. They helped each other study for Texas History exams and got through the occasional ice storms that would roll through Nacogdoches. It wasn’t until their junior year at SFA that they began dating—and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Their first official date was a movie night followed by Chick-fil-A (of course), and to this day, movie nights are still one of their favorite things to do together.

Colby proposed to Graci shortly after she graduated from Baylor University with her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders!
