In January of 2017, a magical encounter set the stage for a love story that would intertwine two lives forever. Gracie, seeking a break from her busy daily routine, decided to enjoy a staycation with her best friend. Little did she know that this ordinary day would lead to something extraordinary.

Nicholas, on the other hand, was busy preparing Lau Lau for a fundraiser. It was the thought that he can cook Hawaiian food that first caught Gracie’s attention. She thought to herself, "Wow, this guy is real if he knows how to make Lau Lau." That’s all it took to set in motion a culinary love affair that would soon blossom into something even more remarkable.

Their first date was in February of 2017, and what started as a chance meeting quickly turned into a whirlwind romance. Over the next year and a half, Gracie and Nicholas navigated the distance between the Kaua’i channel until finally, in May 2018, Gracie made the bold decision to leave her life in Kapa’a, Kaua’i and move to Kapolei, O’ahu, to bring their lives closer together. A journey together that would unite two hearts and blended two families.

It was in this home that they learned where each other’s skills and contributions lay. Gracie took care of the inside where her cooking and baking talents truly shined, delighting his taste buds, warming his heart and growing his opu while always keeping the home neat and clean. Nicholas took care of the exterior and maintained the household with his ingenious “MacGyver” skills, and can fix anything attitude, which quickly became a source of awe and admiration for Gracie.

With Gracie's enduring love for Christmas, the holiday season soon became a cherished time for both of them. Her enthusiasm for the season was so infectious that Nicholas needed a larger storage shed to house what Gracie lovingly dubbed a "Christmas Monster". Together, they created magical moments filled with festive joy and warmth that was shared with all.

On December 25, 2023, during their family Christmas present-opening tradition, Nicholas surprised Gracie with a heartwarming Christmas proposal with a ring that symbolized a promise of a future filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams.

Gracie and Nicholas are set to celebrate their union on Saturday, January 18, 2025, embarking on a new chapter of their lives together and look forward to building a future brimming with joy and adventure filled with cherished memories of love and laughter with family and friends.
