We met years ago at Gethsemane Lutheran school, where we were often in the same groups and participated in the same activities and every other year in the same classrooms—but it wasn’t until the end of Caden’s senior year that a close friendship really took hold. We spent endless hours on the phone, drove across the Midwest storm chasing, and logged countless hours playing minecraft together. Our shared love of adventure and our tendency to be silly and goofy mean you’ll usually hear a lot of laughing when we’re around each other. It took Gracie a little longer to recognize what everyone else saw, but eventually the friendship turned into something more. To prepare for military housing, we’ve signed the marriage paperwork and are excited to start married life together in Tucson, where Caden is currently stationed with the Air Force and Gracie plans to continue college, studying nursing. We are looking forward to traveling, chasing new adventures (and the occasional roller coaster), and spoiling our cats. We are very excited to see everyone at the wedding and cannot wait to see what God has in store for us.
